As Oakton moves into its second half-century as a trusted and valued resource, College leaders identified this opportunity to re-introduce itself to the community. The budget cost to implement the College’s name change in the fiscal year 2023 budget is $400,000. This includes the cost of updating physical and digital signage, College fleet, letterhead/business cards, and other assets — as well as resources to help us re-introduce Oakton to students and the community.

Q. Will this change impact the cost of tuition?
The College does not anticipate a change in tuition in 2023. Variables that affect tuition include market dynamics, the cost of inflation, and other factors.
